Account Manager — Vertical SaaS & AI

The role

You will own the commercial relationship with CholaVerse customers across Europe and the US — from late-stage sales through onboarding, expansion and renewal. This is not a farming role and it is not a pure hunting role either. We need someone who can run a real consultative sales cycle for a vertical SaaS product, partner with our engineering team during onboarding, and grow accounts as we add modules and verticals.

You will be one of the first commercial leaders we hire in India. You will work directly with the founder during planning cycles and his visits to the office, but the day-to-day commercial operation is yours to run. You will help define how we sell, have a meaningful hand in shaping pricing, packaging and which industries we go deep on next, and as the team grows you will hire and lead the salespeople who join after you.

If you have spent your career inside a large sales org following someone else's playbook, this will feel uncomfortable. If you have ever wanted to define the playbook yourself, this is that role.

What you will actually do

  • Manage a book of SMB and mid-market customers across the UK, EU and US, focused initially on our e-commerce vertical and expanding as new verticals come online.
  • Run end-to-end sales cycles: discovery, demo, technical scoping with engineering, commercial negotiation and close.
  • Onboard new accounts in partnership with our AI engineers, taking responsibility for first value within thirty days.
  • Grow accounts across the platform — orders, inventory, shipping, marketing, customer service, accounting, payroll and the AI agent layer — by genuinely understanding where the customer is losing time and money.
  • Feed structured product feedback back to the founder and engineering team. You are the customer in the room when we make roadmap decisions.
  • Build and maintain accurate pipeline forecasts inside our own platform. Yes, we use the product we sell.
  • Represent CholaVerse on partner calls, in industry communities and at events relevant to our verticals.

What you bring

  • At least five years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally in vertical SaaS, e-commerce tooling, ERP, logistics tech, marketing platforms or industry cloud.
  • A real, demonstrable track record of closing deals with European and / or US customers and growing accounts year on year.
  • Direct experience selling to clients in Europe and / or the US, and the ability to move comfortably between the two cultures and buying processes.
  • A genuine understanding of how SaaS pricing, packaging and tiered distribution work — and strong opinions about why vertical SaaS wins where horizontal does not.
  • Real, hands-on enthusiasm for AI in sales and operations. You already use AI tools every day for prospecting, research, account planning, call summaries and follow-up. Be ready to walk us through your stack on the first call.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a strong advantage as we expand.
  • The temperament to thrive in a small, founder-led team: high agency, low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, allergic to politics.

Nice to have

  • Background selling to e-commerce merchants, agencies, freight or logistics buyers.
  • Experience inside a founder-led startup with fewer than twenty people.
  • Familiarity with the Shopify, eBay or Amazon Seller Central ecosystems.

How we will measure success

  • Pipeline coverage and qualified opportunities in months one to three.
  • New ARR closed and net revenue retention from month four onward.
  • Time-to-first-value for new accounts.
  • Quality and frequency of product feedback that turns into shipped improvements.
