Marketing Manager — Performance, SEO & AI-Driven Growth

The role

This is a hands-on marketing role for an operator. You will own digital marketing for CholaVerse end to end — strategy, paid media, SEO, content, lifecycle, analytics — and you will execute most of it yourself, using AI tools aggressively to multiply your output. You will also be the person who decides which agencies, freelancers or specialist tools we bring in, and when.

If you only know how to brief agencies and review their work, this role will not be a fit. We want someone who can open Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Search Console and our CMS, and ship campaigns the same week they are conceived. We want someone who has strong opinions about positioning, writes well, and has a track record of moving real numbers.

As we expand into new verticals, you will own the launch playbook for each one. That is a meaningful piece of leverage and a meaningful piece of trust.

What you will actually do

  • Own the digital marketing strategy for CholaVerse: positioning, ICP messaging by vertical, channel mix, budget allocation and reporting.
  • Build, launch and optimise Google Ads campaigns — Search, Performance Max, YouTube — across our target geographies.
  • Build, launch and optimise Meta Ads campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, with ongoing creative iteration and audience testing.
  • Run technical and content SEO for our marketing site: keyword strategy, on-page, internal linking, schema, programmatic SEO where it earns its place.
  • Plan and produce a steady drumbeat of content — blog posts, comparison pages, case studies, vertical-specific landing pages — using AI tools to research, draft and iterate, and your own judgement to make sure it is genuinely good.
  • Set up and maintain our analytics stack: GA4, Search Console, ad platform pixels, server-side tracking where useful, and an attribution view we can actually trust.
  • Own lifecycle and email: nurture sequences, onboarding emails, product update announcements, vertical-specific newsletters.
  • Build internal AI workflows that make marketing faster — content production pipelines, ad creative generation, SEO automation, reporting dashboards. Marketing output per person should look very different here than at a traditional agency.

What you bring

  • A demonstrable track record of running paid media yourself. Show us accounts you have managed and the numbers you actually moved.
  • Real, current SEO skill: you can audit a site, find the technical issues, set a keyword strategy and know which tools are worth paying for.
  • Strong opinions about digital marketing strategy — channel selection, attribution, brand versus performance balance — backed by experience and not theory.
  • Heavy daily use of AI tools across the marketing function: content generation, creative production, research, automation, reporting.
  • Comfort with analytics and a basic ability to work with data. Pivot tables, GA4, light SQL or spreadsheets-as-database is enough.
  • Excellent written English with the ability to write in different brand voices and adapt tone by vertical.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing to e-commerce merchants, SaaS buyers, or freight and logistics audiences.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with the ability to edit a marketing site directly.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimisation and structured landing-page testing.
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo, HubSpot or similar lifecycle tools.

How we will measure success

  • Cost per qualified lead and cost per opportunity by channel.
  • Organic traffic growth and ranked keywords across target ICP search terms.
  • Content output — measured against engagement and pipeline contribution, not just word count.
  • Marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline.
